The States Butterfly Effect

Track the Butterfly Effect of Kindness

Ok, so sadly I wouldn't be able to do it here in the UK due to our  Customs charges but I found this really cool website about Butterfly Coins a bit like Kindsprings smile cards but in coin version.  At a small $ price you can get some coins and give them out into the world (beware if to the uk check shipping!) Their website https://butterflycoins.org/ says the following:

The concept is simple. The effects are profound.

Each Butterfly Coin inspires and tracks the butterfly effect of kindness. By carrying one of our solid brass coins in your pocket or purse, you’re reminded to look for opportunies to help someone, be they friend or stranger. Pass along your coin to them along with your kind deed, and encourage them to pay it forward.
The coins have unique tracking codes on the back, along with instructions to the recipient to make a brief story note about how they received the coin. Each coin has a dedicated story page, where you can watch your legacy of kindness unfold countless times into the future, forever.

It's such a great idea, shame there's not much like that here in the UK. If you know of any random acts let me know - Rae

Sharow Shananigans - GEOCACHING

Sharow Shananigans - A geocaching trail by Mel & Freddie 17 in Sharow, Ripon

Well, here is the screen shot the smilie faces being the one's we've done Rae, The Bionic Sheep (My dad) and The Harps (Rae's mum and step-dad). Mainly the all over smilies are the ones me and the Bionic Sheep have done as their mostly drive bys and the loop which is the one I'm talking about with them all clustered together with the rather odd sad face (NOT THE ONE AT THE BOTTOM, that one is where The Bionic Sheep nearly fell in the Ripon Canal do not attempt going too near a canal lol!)  The only DNF ON THE circular loop was one where it got far too dark to find after doing the first half of the loop far too later in the day! I would say if your doing a loop or trail like this do start it in the morning about 10am on winter days!

Some of the logs read:

"A good day out or rather afternoon! Poor Mr Harp lost a hearing aid hoping he really has left them at home!!, other than that and one DNF they were really good finds."

Yes sorry Step pappa Harps for mentioning that poor bloke... anyway...

we then went on the way back after going completely the wrong direction home to The Red House (building is Grey not Red! lol) In Carlton Miniott, which Rae's going to put on Trip Advisor!)

Great food, big portions and only seemed to be the one lady on and the chef, it was about 5pm ish when we got there so maybe there's more there now to help, did a great job though.

Well untill our next travels.... Au revouir, Rae. x
